On my way to Kokino
The tour to the Kokino, archaeological site from bronze period (18 th century B.C.) and IVth prehistoric observatory in the world according to NASA, is located 30 km from the town of Kumanovo, near the village of Staro Nagoricane. It is situated on Tatichev rock at an altitude of 1013 m. The observatory used the method of stationary observation, marking position of the sun at the winter and summer solstice, as well as the equinox.
Climbing on our way to Kokino
On our way to Kokino we have about 10 minutes climbing to the top of the site and then walk around, including the sitting on the thrones created by the Bronze age people. On our way back there is a possibility for visiting of Staro Nagorichane where in the authentic village ambient the Church of St. George (1313) is located. Also there is an opportunity for lunch in the Ethno Villge restaurant situated in the vicinity.
